Billy Hughes (pictured) discovered his calling early. After taking auto mechanics at Oakton High School and again at NOVA, Hughes, 48, went on to work at C&C Garage in 1973, which he now owns with his business partner Scott Stauffer. But despite his recent victory, Hughes does not take all the credit. “I know the award goes to me, but it goes to the guys at the shop, too. They make it all happen,” he said.
